Promise for Herpes, Staph Sufferers Shown in Probiotic-Derived Immune Support Supplement

Dr. Lubov Shynkarenko, vice president and lead researcher of Pure Research Products, LLC, recently presented findings that demonstrate the company's probiotic-derived supplement's potential to support the immune system while it staves off viruses and infections like herpes and staph.

Mice were infected with herpes simplex virus-1 and Staphylococcus aureus for the study, which was revealed by Dr. Shynkarenko at this spring's International Probiotics Association (IPA) World Congress. Del-Immune V demonstrated strong protective action, with a significant increase in survival rate among mice that were given the product. Pure Research Products hopes these promising results will pave the way for clinical trials that further substantiate the effectiveness of the supplement's immune support for sufferers of viruses and infections. Del-Immune V is derived from the probiotic lactobacillus rhamnosus (DV strain), which was authored in the Ukraine by Dr. Shynkarenko.

Research Sheds Light on How Herpes Virus Invades Cells

U.S. scientists believe they are getting closer to understanding how the herpes simplex virus invades cells, potentially providing a target for new drugs to fight the virus, researchers say.

The scientists used advanced imaging technologies to learn more about the structure and function of the cell-entry protein complex used by the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2), which causes genital herpes.
